We visited Scotland in June 2013. Despite (or maybe just because of that?) the typical bad weather, its stunning coastline in combination with rocky mountains, ancient castles, and waterfalls is truely worth a trip for every landscape photographer. But be aware of those nasty midges...
Seeing and taking photos of Northern Lights is an outstanding experience. We've made a trip to the Lofoten in February 2014 and fortunately were lucky enough to see them. But Northern Lights are certainly not the only thing you see there, it is a really delightful spot!
A conference brought me to China for the first time. Besides the great variety of ancient and modern buildings, especially the hike on Great Wall of China was the absolute highlight of our stay!
Its fantanstic mountains offer great opportunities for my favorite leisure activities like hiking, via ferratas, skiing, and snowshoing, but with it's splendid nature also some great vistas for photographers!
One the one hand, the driest desert in the world, with awesome rock formations in the Valle de la Luna and Valle de la Muerte; on the other hand, the incredible colorful lagoons of the Altiplano. Really one of the most impressive landscapes we've visited so far!
Mount Fitz Roy, Cerro Torre, Torres del Paine... those names surely let the hearts of mountaineers and travellers beat faster. Together with majestic glaciers like Perito Moreno and the rainforests along the Carretera Austral, Patagonia is great for photography roadtrips!
